We trust you had a joyful, meaningful, Christmas holiday. While many of you are still enjoying some down time, perhaps with family, it’s time to start looking at the road ahead that is 2015. Perhaps in between family games, trips to the store, and holiday meals, you can slip in some moments for the bigger picture.
One
To start, evaluate 2014. What worked in 2014? What didn’t work in 2014? Am I where I wanted to be in terms of:
- my relationships
- my impact in the world
- my health
- my personal development
- other areas
Two
Next, it’s time to ask, What’s next? What goals do I need to set for 2015? Are these the goals I really want to set for myself, or are there more important goals? Are these goals going to grow me and move me forward? Are these goals achievable? Are these goals specific enough that I can tell with certainty when I accomplished them? Who can I get to hold me accountable to them?
Three
Write the goals down, Put them up somewhere visible. Finally it’s time to commit to this being the year. Tell yourself: I no longer make new years resolutions and break them. From this year forward, I set goals and accomplish them – no letting them slide. I will no longer be satisfied being at the same place in my life year in and year out.
Let us know how we can support you on your journey.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
